How to celebrate Rakshabandhan? Decorate the plate of Rakhi. In which keep Roli, Sandalwood, Akshat, Dahi, Raksha Sutra i.e. Rakhi and Sweets. Also, light a lamp of ghee. First of all, offer the Raksha Sutra and the plate of worship to God. After this, make the brother sit facing east or north. Apply tilak on brother’s forehead. Perform Raksha Sutras and perform Aarti. After this, feed sweets to your brother. Keep in mind that at the time of tying the rakhi, both the brother and sister must have their head covered. After this, take the blessings of your elders.
